WELCOME
Thousands of Colorado families live in the shadow of prosperity. Low-wage workers struggle to bridge the gap between paycheck and expenses. And if a person falls into the low-wage, survival-job trap, there’s a good chance that they’ll remain there – caught in a back eddy of limited wages and horizons. Locally, our distressed economy has experienced a dramatic job market upheaval. The road to economic self-sufficiency and a healthy lifestyle runs through education.
It is difficult to become self-sufficient when families face certain debilitating health issues. Numerous health conditions can prevent people from sustaining employment, attending school, staying afloat financially, and leading a normal fulfilling life. In this regard we periodically deliver crucial "health literacy" information on issues that largely can be addressed through behavioral change resulting in a family's enhznced health and well-being. We`also provide ongoing redajustment support for returning combat veterans.
Through our Navigator Program, the nonprofit Education Skills Institute (ESI) provides the first-time job seeker, the displaced worker, and the returning veteran career counseling; hard and soft skills training; academic tutoring; money management consultation; and group programs regarding mental health issues for combat veterans experiencing readjustment obstacles.
To improve the quality of life of at-risk people in Colorado's Front Range through a combination of job coaching, life skills mentoring and group counseling.
